There are many ways to train the brain.

NUTRITION

What we eat alters our state of mind and ability to learn and remember. It has been proven that children who are dehydrated have poor concentration levels.

Antioxidants found in blueberries, spinach, strawberries are required by the damaged brain cells to remove harmful free radicals.

Carbohydrate foods are slow releasing giving the brain a steady amount of energy to improve our mood by maintaining the feel good factor brain chemical called serotonin.

Fat from dairy and vegetable in our diets is also required by the brain to produce acetylcholine a neurotransmitter needed for memory, the wrong type of fats from biscuits, cakes and crisps can have the opposite effect.

Omega 3-fatty acids obtained form oily fish sardines and tuna improve our moods.

Vitamin B found in marmite is believed to improve the brain function. Protein rich foods increase the level of neurotransmitters serotonin needed for good communication between cells in the brain.

Water makes up 80% of the brain so it is easy to understand why drinking pure natural mineral water is vital for healthy brain function.

RELAXATION

When we take in a deep breath hold for 4-6 seconds, and then exhale for the same. This is a simple easy relaxing thing to do. By breathing in deeply and slowly relaxing chemicals are released to calm the mind. A relaxed mind will send signals to relax the body. Yoga is very good for reducing stress levels. One study showed that yoga helped reduce the stress hormone cortisol. People who go to yoga often sleep very well that night from being more relaxed.
