How To Control Your Head

SLOW

Going slow can be misinterpreted as not developing your fitness but this is the only time to improve your ability and skill. At any time of year, you must never finish a session feeling that it was too hard when training slowly.Leave your pride at home for timeless fitness.

CONFIDENCE

Confidence is built from consistency and avoiding injury. Consistency and injury avoidance results from BAPs - keeping everything easy and being patient so you progress your fitness in a controlled fashion and become more economical.

MENTAL BURNOUT

Mental burnout will result early in the spring if you continually work too hard between October and April for northern hemisphere athletes training for summer races. This will result in missing sessions in the spring, no enthusiasm and being less competitive than normal.
